乳癌（美國）：2017 年，預計女性診斷出 252,710 例侵襲性乳癌，男性診斷出 2,470 例。此外，女性中診斷出 63,410 例原位乳癌。 2017 年，約有 40,610 名女性和 460 名男性死於乳癌。
攝護腺癌：除皮膚癌外，攝護腺癌是美國男性最常見的癌症。美國癌症協會對 2018 年美國前列腺癌的估計為：

約 164,690 例前列腺癌新病例。
約 29,430 人死於前列腺癌。

我們該如何預防呢？

乳癌：研究顯示生活方式的改變可以降低乳癌的風險，即使是高風險女性也是如此。您可以採取以下步驟來降低風險：

限制飲酒。飲酒越多，罹患乳癌的風險就越大。基於酒精對乳癌風險影響的研究，一般建議是將自己每天飲酒量限制在 1 杯以下，因為即使少量也會增加風險。
不要吸煙。越來越多的證據顯示吸煙與乳癌風險之間存在聯繫，尤其是停經前女性。此外，不吸煙是您可以為整體健康做的最好的事情之一。
控制體重。超重或肥胖會增加乳癌的風險。如果肥胖發生在晚年，尤其是停經後，情況尤其如此。
保持身體活躍。體力活動可以幫助您維持健康的體重，有助於預防乳癌。對於大多數健康成年人，衛生與公共服務部建議每周至少進行 150 分鐘的中等有氧運動或每週 75 分鐘的劇烈有氧運動，再加上每周至少兩次肌力訓練。
母乳哺育。母乳哺育可能在預防乳癌方面發揮作用。母乳哺育的時間越長，保護作用就越大。

前列腺癌：
體重、體力活動和飲食對攝護腺癌風險的影響尚不清楚，但您可以採取一些措施來降低罹患攝護腺癌的風險，例如：

每天至少吃兩杯各種蔬菜和水果。
保持身體活躍。
保持健康的體重。
